Advent 2012
Advent is a special time of year where we are rekindle the memory of past miracles, celebrate the Savior come, and marvel at the mystery of the Incarnation. It it a time of both reflection and response, expectation and epiphany. So, we welcome you to join us as a community in worship of Jesus – the One whom this season is all about.
2.12 “More than A Song” – Lighting the 1st Advent candle & closing out our Deuteronomy series with a teaching on worship as our gift to God.
8.12 “Festival of Light” – taking a closer look at the festival of Hanukkah and Jesus, the true Light of the World. Lighting the 2nd Advent candle together.
18.12 “Ready or Not”– How do you get ready for the biggest event in your life? How do you really meet face to face Emmanuel, God wrapped in flesh & blood- speaking, eating, and living with us? Lighting of the 3rd Advent candle.
23.12 “Light of the World” – CityLight members are invited to join IBCB church for a special candle light service lead by Pastor Bill Cobble. Where: IBCB When: 10am Note: If you know you will join please RSVP: pastorbillcobble@gmail.com
“True Joy of Christmas”– during our normal CityLight service Erik Racz will lead us in a teaching on Jesus the greatest gift of all. Lighting of the final Advent candle.
